How to Choose the Right Bag Size for Your Needs
Measure the objects being packed and check finished width, height, base depth and usable opening. A size label alone does not establish capacity or suitability.
Use this article to prepare a clear bag brief for a UAE business, retail, hospitality or personal-use enquiry. Confirm exact specifications with the selected product.
Ask about your requirementThe answer in brief
Arrange the objects you intend to carry and measure their packed footprint and height. Allow for seams, lining, closure and the opening rather than relying only on external dimensions. Try a sample when fit is important. Specify width, height and depth consistently so quotations refer to the same finished construction.
Measurement order
Record width, height and depth or gusset with the unit. Distinguish external measurements from usable space. Flat pouches, gusseted totes and round laundry bags cannot be compared from width and height alone. For round bases, record diameter and usable height separately. Add a sketch if needed so the supplier can identify where each measurement begins and ends.
Opening allowance
Seams, lining, zippers and cord channels reduce space. Measure the largest item including packaging. Check the opening as well as body size if access is narrow. Rigid boxes fit differently from soft garments. Allow for the way items are inserted and removed, not only their resting position inside the bag. A filled sample is useful where the fit is close.
