Compare the material, construction and operating requirements before finalizing a bag specification.
Use this article to prepare a clear bag brief for a UAE business, retail, hospitality or personal-use enquiry. Confirm exact specifications with the selected product.
Ask about your requirementThe answer in brief
What fits depends on shape and opening as well as the nominal size. Measure rigid objects first and allow room for the closure to work without forcing it. Check compartments and lining because they reduce usable space. A practical packing trial is more reliable than guessing from a photograph or a small/large label.
Measurement order
Record width, height and depth or gusset with the unit. Distinguish external measurements from usable space. Flat pouches, gusseted totes and round laundry bags cannot be compared from width and height alone. For round bases, record diameter and usable height separately. Add a sketch if needed so the supplier can identify where each measurement begins and ends.
Opening allowance
Seams, lining, zippers and cord channels reduce space. Measure the largest item including packaging. Check the opening as well as body size if access is narrow. Rigid boxes fit differently from soft garments. Allow for the way items are inserted and removed, not only their resting position inside the bag. A filled sample is useful where the fit is close.
